Ornamental Value/Landscape Use
If you are looking for a versatile, low maintenance, fuss-free shrub, look no further. Low scape hedger chokeberry offers this and more. In the spring, clusters of dainty white blooms cover this densely growing shrub. The dark green, glossy foliage stays full and clean all summer long making it an attractive backdrop to the plants blooming in summer. It also serves as a privacy screen. It can be left to grow naturally or sheared for a more formal appearance.
In the fall, the foliage changes into a spectacular display of red and orange colors. Durable and tolerant of many conditions, low scape hedger chokeberry will grow in dry and wet conditions. It is tolerant of drought, heat, and salt. A native to North America, it does not produce fruit.
